Staff was very helpful - We enjoyed walking when we could. We had a rainy stay - but enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

Featuring free WiFi access available throughout, Hotel Fabrica do Chocolate offers rooms in Viana do Castelo, a 6-minute walk from the Lima River. Everything was just great. The welcome drink, the unique camino stamp, the museum tour, the chocolates in the room. Room was abit small, only because we had 2 luggages. Breakfast was simply marvellous. Just wished I had more time to linger & enjoy the spread & hot chocolate.

Set in Viana do Castelo and facing Lima River, the AP Dona Aninhas is 2 minutes' walking from the city centre. This Hotel was a total surprise. Very nice ambience and staff. One can see and feel how the Hotel is run with a real attitude to hospitality and style. Very clean. Classy design. Breakfast buffet the best I can remember. Great deal of choices you dont find in other places. Also interesting details of how they offer things. They have a special touch. Including decent live Grand-Piano music and Flowers. Great parking spot and system nearby. And right in the historical centre with the harbour atmosphere. Also the bathroom design is very classy. And they also have a real nice Spa in this historical building... so 200% recommendation from us... Eva & Martin

The Hotel da Oliveira is within the historical Guimarães city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Guimarães Castle, the city’s most iconic landmark is 150 metres away. The hotel is right in the historical center of Guimarães but still offers parking (100m down the road). The room was absolutely fantastic, so comfortable and neat. We had a gorgeous balcony opened to the pedestrian street below, the bed had 3 different sort of pillows to choose from, I couldn’t fault anything. The staff was extremely cordial and kind, especially considering my husband’s mishap at breakfast when he spilled coffee all over the counter (we’re terribly sorry). They were all lovely to us from the first minute to the last! Great impression since it’s our first time in the city, but we’ll definitely be back and stay here again!

The experience in this hotel was just amazing, even though I stayed there just for one night. I arrived around 7pm, could enjoy the pool and spa area exclusively by myself for two hours. Dinner at the hotel was really delicious, consisting of four dishes, and super cheap as well. Breakfast was served earlier for me, given that I had to leave for the airport early in the morning. In general, the hotel looks really great and very stylish, a lot of wood and glass, which is a nice combination. Seems like all the small details are thought of in this hotel. Most likely I will come back for a longer stay in this place.
