Magical grounds set on the site of an old mill! Impeccably kept with flower gardens, vegetable garden and two pools! All surrounded by a Forrest walk. The staff were kind and helpful! Apartment was beautifully decorated and very spacious. We loved our little terrace and bbq area. The delivery of fresh bread in the mornings was a lovely touch and the honesty shop with local produce was a delight. Would thoroughly recommend coming here and staying to relax or even as a base for the Douro. We will be back!

Dois Lagares House was easily accessible from the train station in Pinhão and walking distance to the restaurants and tours we chose during our stay. The view from the shared living room was spectacular, looking out over the Douro river. The home is clean, bright and tastefully decorated. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with a walkout to a small patio. The owner, Hugo, and his mother went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one. A highlight of our trip to Portugal, for sure.

Great location in Regua, one street back from the Douro. Hotel has a bar area but we frequented the bar/cafe a couple of steps away. Short walk (15 mins) into the centre of Regua where you'll find plenty of restaurants in the vicinty of the museum. Pool access is across the carpark-the hotel provide you with a chitty to gain entry and you need a new one every day. Breakfast was good. Good base to explore the area along and up into vine covered hills above the Douro. Good value.

Located in center of town, about a 12 minutes walk to Douro Museum. It is a very large apartment, traditionally decorated for an upper middle class family. There are three bedrooms with double beds. There are 2 full bathrooms recently renovated. Huge living room, large full kitchen, and a TV room. Private parking in building grounds. We picked up the keys in a gas station in town following owners instructions. We drove to bar and restaurants areas.

La casa sa Ponte is perfectly located between many beautiful cities (Porto, Braga, Amarante, Guimarães….) The house is beautiful. Swimming pool is so nice with a view on mountains. But the best is the kindness of Claudio and Ines. Our hosts are absolutely so nice and kind people. They offer perfect suggestions and support for any needs. It’s a perfect place to discover Douro and North Portugal. We enjoyed the 3 weeks in this beautiful house.

Absolutely amazing place to stay during wine tasting tour in Douro Valley. Super friendly and warming people met us there, we were advised about the best wineries to visit and restaurants for dinner, it helped us a lot with planning our trip around. Hacienda itself is a beautiful house with lovely garden, really calm place 5 min driving from the city with a lot of restaurants and Lidl. Hotel has free parking space.

Beautiful property. Very accommodating staff. Angela gave us all kinds of recommendations for things to do (Pinhão and wineries) in the area. Maria was so sweet and made sure we were all set with meals at the Quinta. Their wine is also excellent! One of our favorite stays during a 2-week tour in Portugal touching all major cities and regions. Highly recommend and will rebook next time we visit Douro Valley!

Superb in every way. Our best self catering accommodation in Portugal for years. From the greeting on arrival with a glass of wine, to sitting on the terrace with a wine of dinner watching boats on the Douro it was perfection. We will be back at the earliest opportunity. Great restaurants nearby if you feel the need to leave. Try the train from the nearby station to Pinhao or further, a magical ride.

The most satisfactory accommodation in Portugal, and here it makes me want to visit the Douro Valley again. I went to the wrong accommodation with the same name near Pinhão, but thanks to the kind Beatriz, I was able to find Regua safely. Thank you so much to Beatriz for making our stay even more lovely!! Omly a mistake was that we only booked for one night. Worth a multi-day stay.

Douro Marina Hotel & Spa is an amazing hotel to spend a few days. It is a simple hotel in a small village but offers you everything you could possibly need. The rooms are comfortable and always clean, the pool is good and my experience at the Spa was amazing. The breakfast has variety for all types of foodies and the main plus point is the staff who is always ready to help.

This property is right out of a story book. Perfectly located along the Douro River with views that go in for miles. The rooms are very spacious and well adorned. We also enjoyed speaking with the proprietor, who was willing to share his experience of moving to Portugal to start a business. All around, this was one of our favorite stays in the region.

The Lemego Hotel was a pleasant surprise. We booked it for our stay in the Douro valley and it was a great base to explore. The hotel was modern and comfortable. Pool was great both indoor and outdoor. Restaurant was delicious. The staff could not have been more helpful. They recommend restaurants and wine tastings for us all of which we enjoyed.

We had a great time at Douro 41. We travel with our 7 month old baby, which requires a great deal of logistics, yet the hotel’s staff was of great help. We loves one of the hotel experience which consisted in a boat tour along the Douro River. The Hotel Room 702 will forever be in our memory due to its incredible view! Thank you very much.

Apartment 1 has fantastic views of the Douro River and terraced hillside from the kitchen window and the shared terrace. It also has a window in the spacious bedroom that opens onto a garden for ventilation. (The facilities are superior to Apartment 2). The host is kind and helpful and responded promptly to messages.

The Hotel has very nice location on a river bank. Personal is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is tasty and served in restaurant with a river view on a bridges and Douro Valley. Swimming pool is additional advantage especially during hot days. Definitely recommend the hotel.

Everything. The hosts have gone out of their way to create a five-star Douro valley stay for their guests. Rooms with en suite bathrooms are spacious. Views are incredible. Breakfasts and dinners (optional) are not to be missed. we learned so much from both Jet and Ron! Our favorite stay in all of Portugal!

This winery experience was wonderful and cozy. We hiked the vineyard, took a boat ride on the Douro River, did a wine tasting, watched olive harvesting and dined in the lovely restaurant. We close our eyes and can see the amazing terraced vineyard as the backdrop to our 3 week Portugal road trip.

Our stay at Hostel Douro Backpackers was terrific! Pedro and Sara were super helpful and gave great recommendations for things to do in Pinhão. The property had excellent facilities and a wonderful terrace and garden with great views. We will definitely be coming back again in the future!

a historic property with 21 century amenities. the location is deep in the Douro valley amid vineyards. the owners and staff were most helpful and accommodating. they were very personable and eager to help guests have the best possible experience in this amazing part of Portugal

Secluded and quiet location with curated breakfast. Host also prepared New Year’s Eve dinner. Almost all products sourced from garden or locally. A memorable stay much because of the owners care for what they do. Shall return when back to the Douro region of Portugal.
