Djorff Palace has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Luxor. Awesome place! Ideal for a long stay. All personnel was great. The bathroom was fit for a pharaoh. Breakfast was great, and so was dinner. In fact, it was the place I ate in Egypt (it is international cuisine).

The BEST hotel manager you can ever meet! Hassan is an incredible person who genuinely cares about his guests and tries to make them happy in every possible way. This is a kind of place where you artive as a guest and leave as a friend. Hassan's commitment to his guests is truly inspiring. He is always available for any questions and advice, and yet is always diplomatic and soft-spoken. Hassan also has a great sense of humour and talking with him is always a delight, in addition - his English language skills are fantastic. The hotel is located near the ferry dock and sees quite a bit of traffic - you are going to experience a real part of Luxor. It is a great place to stay for independent travellers who are looking for an authentic experience without tourist crowds. The rooms are basic, but super clean and very spacious, the linen and towels are all clean and fresh; the beds, pillows and blankets are very comfortable as well. You also have a very kind employee Mohammed to look after you - he is always helpful, attentive, and does a great job keeping everything clean and safe. The price for this place is also excellent. The hotel has a large rooftop terrace for sweeping views over the Nile. This is also where a lunch bufet is available frim 11a.m. to 3 p.m. We tried the food there, and were also very happy with the selection, price, and attitude. Yes, we were VERY happy with this hotel team, and could HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to those travellers who appreciate a genuine local hospitality!

Authenticity-Set amongst the Theban hills and Nile agricultural area. Simple, cosy, mud brick cottage with nice garden and rooftop to enjoy the panoramic views. Abdul is super friendly and can help with whatever you need. We booked a hot air balloon tour through him. He is also an excellent chef and the home cooked meals we had at Nour El Balad was the best food we had in Egypt. Duck, chicken, kofta were all superb.

Surrounded by landscaped gardens, Al Baeirat Hotel is located on the banks of the Nile. Featuring a swimming pool, a shopping arcade and a 24-hour front desk that offers ironing services. Everything! absolutely everything is great! The peace that you feel is amazing; no noise, not too many people, amazing food and amazing staff. Plus, the Bungalows are lovely. The owner and all the staff are friendly and willing to help, the cleaning staff leaves a lovely towel made animal form on your bed; they offer tours and they have their own boat that takes you to the East Bank. The view is amazing too, we are absolutely happy and satisfied with the place. Thanks a lot!!!

Luxor kihagyhatatlan, látni kell mind a keleti parti nevezetességeket (Karnak és Luxor mindenképp), de a nyugati parton a Királyok Völgye is kihagyhatatlan. A Nílus partján hangulatos éttermek, kávézók vannak. Hajózni is érdemes, ha lehet, vitorlással.

I had a very pleasant stay in Ramsess Hostel. Mindenkinek szivböl ajánlom ezt a kellemes, családias hangulatú panziót, akár egyéni utazóknak, akár pároknak vagy csládoknak. Ha újra Luxorban járnék ugyanitt szállnék meg. Naser, a tulajdonos nagyon segítökész, aki mindent egyszerüen és gyorsan megold, emellett pedig mosolygós, müvelt és kiváló társaság. Csak ajánlani tudom a helyet.

Az apartmantól nem messze található a kompállomás, ahonnan a keleti partra lehet hajózni. Az utcában több étterem is van. A személyzet kedves, a szemben lévő étteremben jó volt a vacsora.

This beautiful hotel was quiet, a great value for the price & within 5 min walk to the ferry and decent restaurants. There were many food and drink options on the premises as well, and a thai restaurant on Sundays. The staff was very kind, accommodating & took impeccable care; the whole location was cleaned thoroughly and daily, including our room. The shower was hot, with good pressure, the beds firm and comfortable with towels and soap provided as well. The pool was heated, rooftop was sunny and comfortable all day, and our balcony a lovely place to spend the mornings. My favorite things about El Gezira were the greenery and the staff: lush atmosphere in the middle of the desert with the most accommodating management. I was awaiting back surgery and Mohammed worked tirelessly to make sure I was comfortable and had anything and everything I needed; Saiid at security was so helpful at any time of day if I needed to move around. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Islam made my stay extremely enjoyable. The accomodation itself is very secure and is a gated property. It’s extremely spacious especially when compared with my accomodation at similar prices in Aswan and Cairo.
