The room is spacious which is sufficient to open all of our luggages. The owner Mariko-san is very friendly as she took good care of us. She drove us to the bridge and prepared different types of breakfast for 2 days. She also gave us souvenirs which made by herself. We felt like home throughout our stay.

Located in Nikko, 2.1 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Sanga Nikko provides rooms with free WiFi access. The property is set 10 km from Kegon Falls and 22 km from Nikkō-kokuritsu-kōen. The accommodation was immaculate. We liked that we could prepare a meal in the kitchen and relax in the living area. Our room was just right and there was enough space for our luggage. Yoshi the host is a lovely person and gave great tips for sightseeing and restaurants, he also speaks excellent English.

Featuring a garden, Midorian is located within Nikko National Park. The property is around 1.5 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, 8 km from Kegon Falls and a 16-minute walk from Futarasan Shrine. The property is amazing. It is in a quiet location a short walk from the bus stop. We got a little stuck in the rain but once we got there it was such a welcome relief, a beautiful traditional Japanese house with tatami mats and shoji. The sounds of the nearby river flowing behind the property was extremely relaxing and really added to the serenity of the property. The host is such a nice guy, we chatted fishing and he even sent me my headphones to our next accomodation after I left them behind. Wish we could have stayed longer but with our limited time we were go go go! Thanks Midorian.

Koundo Guest House is a beautiful 2-store traditional style japanese house located in a lovely neighborhood nearby many touristic spots in Nikko. The manager - a kind and discrete old japanese man who sleeps in a room downstairs - receptioned us with soft drinks and showed us the house facilities and a map of the neighborhood. We loved the whole experience and we certainly want to come back one day.

The accommodation was clean, beautiful, traditional, the conversation with the owner was very pleasant. I slept wonderfully there. I will always return to this place in my thoughts. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. And as a bonus, there is excellent and tasty drinking water. If you are thinking about where to stay in Japan, this is the right choice. Just don't make the same mistake I did. We were only for one night. We have to come back here for at least 3 nights.
