Barceló Funchal Oldtown er vel staðsett í miðbæ Funchal og býður upp á loftkæld herbergi, útisundlaug, ókeypis WiFi og líkamsræktarstöð. This might’ve been my favourite accommodation out of our whole trip (we stayed in 5 different accommodations including this one, as we were travelling all around Portugal). This is a fairly new hotel but it is very high end, has wonderful staff, and location is superior. One of our highlights was the rooftop bar/pool you see in the photos. View was absolutely stunning. It’s steps away from the pier/marina, main city centre and tons of restaurants around. We plan to return to Madeira and spend more days there and we’ll be definitely staying here again. Hope this place succeeds and will still be here when we come back in a few years! Also, the prices were such a steal for high end this hotel is - I’m assuming it’s because it’s a new hotel.

Beautiful design, spacious, modern, clean room with great ocean view! The staff was very nice and helpful! They provided a packed breakfast very early so we could manage an early sunrise hike! I’d highly recommend! The parking onsite was a big plus too!

Located in scenic Madeira Island, Pestana CR7 Funchal results of a partnership between Pestana Hotels and world-renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. Location in Funchal. Very friendly staff and very welcoming and they adviced us on some good restaurants with great Portuguese taste

Hotel Madeira is a 3-star hotel in Funchal's city centre, close to shops and restaurants. It offers free WiFi access. Each room has a private bathroom with walk-in shower and hairdryer. Good location. The room was clean and had a courtyard which was really, really nice. The noise isolation in the room was excelent. I did not hear any noise during the night. We used the pool and it was very nice as well.

Set within tropical gardens on Madeira Island, this charming guesthouse features far-reaching sea views and 2 outdoor seawater pools, one of which is heated in winter period. Everything about it. Yes the rooms look dated but I love the rustic look

Hotel Catedral offers elegantly decorated rooms in Funchal’s city centre. It features panoramic views of the area. It also offers free WiFi, as well as free parking. Location is just perfect! Everything is there (the public buses, the shooping centres, the famous market, the main street of restaurants Santa Maria). Breakfast in hotel was more than great! The view from the terrace is awesom. From the Airport we came with the public bus (SAM) for 5 euro for person/one side. 8 euro costs the round trip. You can by the ticket at the bus. We accidentally saw and rented the car without the reservation in advance in Funchal near the hotel in the building called “Marina”. The company is https://www.7mrentacar.com. For 4 days we paid 156 euro for Renault Clio. We were lucky ;).
