I stay 11 days and wasn't enough. Seoul is a beautiful city full of contrasting places. From the beautiful parks and scenarios, palaces and museums where you can learn the history of South Korea to the modern malls and cafes where you can enjoy shopping Korean skin care or having fancy coffees and snacks. I just love Seoul and will comeback again.

Loved the street food and shopping on offer in Myeongdong.
Close proximity to Seoul Tower was also a bonus as the walk through the beautifully designed 'zen' like gardens was a pleasure every day.
Lots of cultural places to visit and I also loved my visit to the DMZ.

There are a lot of places to visit, restaurants to try, and local coffee shops to explore. They offer different shopping options depending on your preference and budget. If you like to shop for high-end luxury goods, you can go to the Lotte Department Store or Hyundai Department Store. If you like fashionable clothes, Myeongdong offers different shopping stores. The Myeongdong underground (going to the train station) offers a variety of clothes, socks, accessories, and ginseng stores.

When thinking of going to NamSan Tower, take a cab & think about a good a walk.
Traffic is horrible, but early Sunday is pretty good to get around.
Think about visiting the country side of Korea during the week days versus weekend.
If you are thinking about traveling vis train/KTX, be sure to book ahead & not from the station as the tickets may be sold.
Subway is the fastest & the best way to get around if you want to use public transportation. Taxi rates varies on after hours.
Many restaurants do not open until 10:30 -11:30am. Recommend calling before heading out.
Restrooms are small & many places do not have toilet paper. Always carry tissue just in case.
Carry exact change and/or purchase bus card as the driver will not provided changes.
There are many restaurant option available in business buildings in the basement floors.
Many places will have free wi-fi for use.
Convenient stores have variety of frozen dinner options & they very delicious. Stores are also open 24 hours.
1. Location - perfect if you want to stay near Myeongdong. Subway station is super near. Our room had a view of the Namsan Tower. Airport bus stop is near the hotel (reasearch in advance for cost and schedule). Shopping and street foot night market is a few meters away.
2. Value for money - hotel rate was unbeatable but book early!
3. Bedroom size was good for 3 people. One of the few hotels in this price range that offer a proper bath and shower (western style). Beds and pillows were comfortable enough. Daily water bottles were provided.
Whenever I went to Seoul last 5 years , I stayed in G2 Hotel many times. The hotel is in a great location so it is convenient to go to popular places in Seoul (Myeong-dong, Sinsa, Gangnam, Hongdae, Jamsil and etc.) by metro and bus. There are many restaurants around hotel as well. The room size was good and the bed was comfortable. The best thing was that staffs were very kind and helpful. When we had some issues in our room, we let the staff know and they fixed it fast. I will stay in this hotel next time again.
I travled to Seoul for business meetings and stayed at a 5 stars hotel and was not happy with my stay. After checking out I decided to stay at gusthouse to have closer look at the korean culture and I am so greatful I found this place. the house is wonderfully unique, very clean and in very good location. Mr. Shen and Mrs. Lee are best hostes I have ever had. they cannot be any kinder. they helped me alot in exploraing the city, provided very delicious breakfast and tought me a lot about koeean culture.
Step Inn is great if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in the center of Seoul. It's located in a bustling shopping district, is close to the subway station, and has all the basic amenities. It's more of a hostel than a hotel (though it does have private rooms!) so just be aware if you're looking for one or the other. My room was clean and serviceable, the hotel staff were friendly, and I was able to book an airport taxi through the front desk without a problem.
-the location was just perfect , right next to myeong-dong and airport bus shuttle stop.
- the lady host & 1 guy was super friendly and helpful.
- it has dryer and washer in the property.
- the bed is so firm and comfortable
- I couldn’t find any location in map or google map, I’ve heard Korea not support map or google map, anyway if you are confuse the location it’s right opposite of sky park hotel myeong-dong , right next to the metcha cafe myeongdong.
A wonderful, clean, and comfortable accommodation. The room is new and spacious, just like in the pictures. check-in process can be somewhat but no matter It's conveniently located not far from Gangnam and is suitable for families. I came here for a vacation in Korea, and it was perfect. Personally, I stayed here for a medical procedure, and the massage chair was very relaxing. If I have the chance, I will definitely come back to stay again.
The location is one of the best in Seoul. From a travelling standpoint, Seoul is divided into a few areas such Hongdae for the exciting student vibe, Myeongdong for shopping, Gangnam for the glitz and Ferraris, Itaewon for foodies, Insadong Seoul for a traditional vibe and so on.
Mercure has the absolute best location for Hongdae, just a minute’s walk from the station and central to all the action without any compromise.
Staff were very nice and understanding. The hotel is a very close to Myeongdong station which is really convenient. The Emart outside is well stocked if you forget something or want to save some money and buy some breakfast there. It was a nice place to stay overnight before catching the KTX the next day. Really quiet during the night and the air con was easy to control in the hot korean summer.
Location was central to everything, right next to the night markets and shopping strip which was very convenient. Theres a bar downstairs which also served food and a vending machine with noodles and frozen meals. Decor was modern and stylish. We received a welcome drinks token for the bar on arrival. We stayed in 3 hotels during our stay in South Korea and this was our favourite one.
This was my first visit to South Korea (Myeongdong Seoul) with family. It was amazing and the people were friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3days and visited many places. The hotel is on the main street where you can see all the local activity and merchants. The room was very nice, clean. It was within a 5 minute walk to the Metro station and it couldn't have been a better location.
The staff at the front desk were very kind. They helped us order venti taxes due to not fitting in a small taxi. We were even able to leave our bags for 4 days while we visited another part of South Korea and did not want to have all our suitcases with us. This made us want to stay there again when we returned, so we cancelled our Airbnb and stayed another 4 nights at the Hamilton.
Excellent location in Myeongdong. A street opposite the hotel has many Korean bars and restaurants that are not noisy but useful for food and drinks. I stayed in a sky view double. Plenty of space and all amenities needed for a pleasant stay. Would not describe as luxury but better than basic business hotel.
Excellent hotel stay, room was spacious and clean, superb location, good breakfast - prefer more korean food though, staff and housekeepers friendly and nice. Best so close to mrt just few steps and shopping , restaurant area. Have already started recommending friends to stay for their holidays in Seoul!
- Location .
- Staff speaks English fluently.
- Good view .
- i read many complains regarding room space so i was really concerned but Fortunately it was spacious enough.
I used to stay in other Hotel when i come to Seoul. but now definitely my go-to hotel will be Lotte Hotel Seoul.
A beautiful and comfortable property that me and my boyfriend stayed during our Korea trip! i would highly recommend film photographers to stay here as it is very close to the film shops and etc. Its perfect for those who love Myeongdong too.
Front staff was nice, and of course it's very cheap. If you do need a place to stay with a very limited budget then you can go here. Although it's the worst place I've been to in about 15 different hostels and hotels in Korea.
Exceptional clean and comfortable room. Finally find a stay in Korea with a good toilet. Modern decor with all needed facilities. Better than expected breakfast. Best location in hongdae since on the building with animate.
Absolutely amazing view of Namsan Tower. Was a wonderful finish for our South Korea trip.
Delicious food at the hotel’s restaurant and beautiful room with a window view of Namsan Tower was just a dream come true.
The hotel stuff was very helpful for everything I ask. I am first time in South Korea and didn’t know where to go. Hotel stuff helped me a lot during my stay at Lavita hotel. Highly recommend this place.
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and spoke English which was helpful. The bathroom was modern and larger than some other hotels in South Korea.
