Getting around is easy. Nice parks and resorts and tourist areas. I liked the tourist areas around Erbil, short day trips then you can go back to your hotel in the city.
I see that the government is working to improve tourism, however, there is still more work need to be done, investment in the parks and resorts is very important which will bring more tourist locally and internationally.

Our stay at the hotel was beyond exceptional! This was mainly due to the front office receptionist (Ramen) who was extremely helpful, professional and courteous. Our entire duration was seamless and wonderful! It’s obvious the staff truly care about their guests and we will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel. Thank you so much again Ramen, you have made us loyal guests

I would stay in Ainkawa rather than Erbil, it is a waking area. Erbil is a car city, like Dubai or Jakarta. It is not a walking city like Kuala Lumpur or Paris.
If one has a car than Erbil area is nice, especially if one can go up into the mountains in the summer.

Erbil itself is an interesting historical city but you probably only need two days to visit most of the highlights. It's easy to get around as there is always a glut if taxis. It helps if you have gps and you know the local name of where you're going. Staying in Ankawa probably makes the most sense for any tourist as many of the best restaurants ( Fuul & hummus), bars (Dusk) and spas are there.
Erbil is also a perfect base for travelling the governorate including Haji Ormran, gslgurd mountain and Felaw pound, Bekhal, Gali Ali Bag, korek mountain and Shingalbana

A city full of history and culture.
A city full of history and culture. Survivors of thousands of years of war, still able to preserve their culture while embracing modern traditions and culture. so much to see, to do and so many beautiful people. Put it on your bucket list, you won't regret it.
Location was the best and amazing city view. The most I want to thank Mr Raad I was shocked when he started welcoming me in Turkish language that made feel comfortable. He can speak also Arabic English. From housekeeping I want to thank Mr Arsha and Mr Anas for best service. Hotel staff are so friendly. I loved sushi bar in 21st floor the sushi was delicious. I enjoyed my sushi night with amazing city view. Thank you Hotel Divan for unforgettable stay in Erbil with you. Hope to see you soon.
Great place to stay with the family, modern and clean.
Staff was welcoming and friendly especially, Marina she was great with hospitality, and she gave us information on the area. As well as she upgraded us to a bigger room without any charge, breakfast very good and healthy. Crestina, in the morning, she welcomes you with great smiles, and she makes great coffee, Hana is very helpful at reservation. All staff was good and welcoming.
I would advise visitors of Erbil to stay at this hotel.
I have been to Erbil before but this time I am happy to say there is a fantastic hotel in Erbil. BL hotel was great in anyway specially the manager Mr Guran. He speaks fluent English ( rare in Erbil ) and I think he manages the place like his home. You feel comfortable all the time. Highly recommended. You get a lot more than you pay. Thank you guys
The breakfast was just ok. I thought a 5 star hotel would have better fresh options and some customer service. Its a buffet style with no waiter service at all. we walked in and no one greeted us or sat us down. It was a little confusing and we just walked over to a table and sat our selves and helped ourselves to the buffet.
The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff were professional in there work. The receptionist and captain Ezzat is a very understanding and thoughtful. everything in the hotel was great from the food to the clean space to the staff.
To anyone traveling to Erbil for a nice a quiet hotel I highly recommend Sipan luxury hotel.
The location of the hotel made it convenient for me to explore the local attractions and enjoy the vibrant culture of Erbil. The room was truely clean.
What truly stood out to me was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were always attentive, friendly, and ready to assist with any requests I had.
The breakfast is good, the food was fresh, there is a good variety of food to choose from, the only thing I would have loved is to eat Arabic bread(either the Iraqi bread you find everywhere in the city or pita bread), the cleanliness of the room is good, and the staff is really friendly and helpful.....
Evening music by the pool is tasteful and elegant. Morning and afternoon buffet will give you a delighful selection local and standard Arabic food. Something for everyone. Front desk customer service could not be better. Best in Erbil. Friendly and welcoming staf. It's my go to hotel while in Erbil.
Best staff ever to deal with, really clean & quite rooms, great service with perfect breakfast, your best option to stay in Erbil, just go over booking website and then choose Hyksos hotel, btw it contain a perfect rest. and very good location which is close to every spot you wanna heading to .
Excellent place to stay in Erbil. This hotel is within walking distance to the citadel and the Bazar. The hotel is excellent value and the staff (particularly Youseff on the front desk ) are amazing. I would not hesitaate to recomend the Janet Bludan Hotel.
it was very good place and a clean hotel with a very beautiful view of erbil. and specially I loved the stuff of the hotel. and it was a nice place because it was near the center and the breakfast
was very tasty.
One of the best 5 star hotel in Erbil. Arshad the door man was very nice, and he helped us a lot. He even recommended us places to visit in Erbil and helped us where to do CPR test before departing erbil Airport.
