Boscundle Manor, hotel in St Austell

Set in 2 acres of grounds, Boscundle Manor features a heated indoor swimming pool, bar and a spa. Just 1 mile from The Eden Project, the property also offers free parking and free WiFi.

The suite was extensive with a huge bathroom. Rather a bizarre configuration because it comprised various parts of an old house, but very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially accommodating our having breakfast in a separate room as we weren't feeling terribly well. The grounds were lovely, too. A lot of thought and work has been put into this hotel.

Rashleigh Arms, hotel in St Austell

Just seconds from the seafront, Rashleigh Arms is located in the pretty fishing village of Charlestown. With wonderful views and free parking, there is also an on-site restaurant.

This was the best stay my husband and I had on our honeymoon in Cornwall. Charlestown is very quaint and the Rashleigh Staff upgraded us to a larger room than we had booked. We arrived all wet on a rainy afternoon and it was so amazing to turn the heat up, take hot showers, and relax over the tea provided in the bathrobes that were left in our room! We slept so well in the comfortable king sized bed and didn't want to leave. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and thought the food and service were quite good. We are both gluten free and they had a lot of options that worked for us.

We came to meet up with family at the Lost Gardens of Heligan, just for the day, which were wonderful. We did not visit the beach or any other facility. We returned to our holiday destination in North Devon the same day.

St Austell is a great base to explore Cornwall. The town isn't fantastic, but it's 5 minutes from the Eden Project, also 5 minutes to Charlestown , an historic and interesting harbour, Mevagissey is very near, and it's near to several beaches.

St Austell itself is a busy industrial town but it is a good base for visiting many coastal fishing villages and nearby attractions such as Eden & Lost Gardens of Heligan. The interesting harbour village of Charlestown is a must see and Mevagissey is only 4 miles away.

Many interesting places to visit. Lovely coastline with quaint villages. Mevagissey, Fowey, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden project are must sees! I shopped in St Austell itself. A good variety of shops, in interesting streets and lanes.

We stayed in Mevagissey which is south of StAustel. St Austel is not the best place to visit in Cornwall and is a little run down but there are promises that efforts are being made to improve its image and facilities.

Ours was a short stay so spent most of the time travelling around the area including a boat trip to Falmouth. We enjoyed a 'eat as much as you like' chinese meal at the Water Margin restaurent in St Austell. The service and quality of menu was excellent. Recommended.

the location was perfect for The Eden Project and the Lost Hardens of Heligan. We walked to Carlyon Bay for a beach day and found places to eat close by in Charlestown and Mevagissey. The hotel is stylish and welcoming with a choice of places to relax indoor and outdoors. Their cream tea and breakfasts were amazing! Also, there were lovely touches like a bag hung on our door every morning with homemade muffins for a pre breakfast treat.

We liked the fact that the hotel was on the cliff overlooking Charlestown and Carolyn Bay. The hotel was a beautiful building with lots of comfy rooms and the dining area overlooked the sea. Breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice. Lovely bar area and outside seating. The food in the restaurant was also delicious. Good central property if you like a walk and can tackle the hills and rough paths. Great size car park.

The food is exceptional The manager is friendly and goes out of his way to help. The room and bathroom were both bigger than most hotel rooms. The curtains ( my pet hate). Actually closed properly and were blackout They had a really good menu for evening meals in the pub/restaurant which are just downstairs so no messing about with walking out in the cold
