In the 24 hours we had, we visited the cathedral, Joan of Arc’s church and the Musée de Beaux Arts, all really interesting. Had a lovely meal in a Paul’s, a very traditional restaurant by the cathedral.

Rouen is a most attractive town with wonderful gothic and timber framed buildings. Extremely walkable everywhere. Lots of fun speciality shops, decent groceries and good restaurants. Lively with lots of sidewalk cafe people watching. Viking river cruise boats stop here and during the mid-day you will see big cruise boat tours coming from Le Harve. The train station is very tidy, helpful and convenient.

Our last visit was 10 years ago and Rouen has changed. The charming pedestrian street to the Horloge is peppered with American fast-food joints and the bodies of the homeless sleeping under the arches. It certainly detracts from the historic city of Jeanne d'Arc.

Stunning city with beautiful architecture.
Stunning city with beautiful architecture. Easy to park and to get around. Plenty of pedestrian streets. Highly recommend a visit to the cathedral - free entry and open quite late. The Sunday market was amazing - a combination of food stalls, clothing, antiques and books. Could happily have spent a couple of hours there. The city also has a great selection of independent shops and of course lots of cafes and restaurants.. Well worth a visit

There were very many historical buildings and churches in Rouen - it is not just an industrial town. We had a one night stay on our way further south on a motoring holiday, but will happily visit again. It is within easy reach of London.
This is an excellent central hotel within close walking distance of all the important sites of interest and restaurants in Rouen. The rooms are very comfortable and we had one with a balcony which looked towards the beautiful cathedral. The style tends towards the minimalist but the room did have a fridge/minibar as well as TV and WiFi but note that the WiFi is an open system and not secure. Breakfast in the bar each morning was excellent. Apart from the parking difficulties I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is in a fabulous spot to wander through the old streets and buildings of Rouen and was exceptionally quiet for the location. The staff were very welcoming and friendly (apart from one guy at the bar who seemed to be having an off day) and although we were on the fourth floor with no lift we had a wonderful chap who carried our bags up the stairs for us as if he was Superman! The late checkout was great and the car parking available was handy and worked very well for us.
The hotel is in walking distance of the historic centre of Rouen. Our room was at the front so there was traffic noise when the window was open. The bed was very comfy and ensuite was clean. We parked in the underground car park (which is quite a tight space on 3 levels) and charged our electric car for free! We visited the Museum des Beaux Arts before leaving Rouen and were able to leave the car in the hotel car park after checking out and then paid before departing.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy the city center of Rouen. Almost everything is within walking distance, and the location is very pleasant. The highlight for me was my cozy room, which had a view of the cathedral. It was exceptionally quiet at night, and the bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep every time. The room had everything I needed, and the staff were professional and helpful.
This is a very good priced hotel on one of the banks of the river in Rouen. It was reasonably easy to find and the reception staff were welcoming. The room and apartment were spacious although we would only really want to stay 1 night so its a good stop off place. It is perfect for older people as it has lifts and is easy access. The pool is nice on the ground floor.
Flat is very close to city center and to the most famous attractions of Rouen. Basically, I didn't had to buy any subscription for public transport. In proximity we have several shops, after receiving instructions from owner I got to apartment easily. My place to stay was prepared as clean. No problem with hot water or with heating in main room.
The hotel looked like it has been recently renovated, that's a nice plus. The room was quite small but nothing out of the ordinary in France. They compensated with a spacious bathroom. Hotel's parking was actually the train station's parking and price is 10 euro/day - very reasonable. Located right across the street from train station.
Great stopover on route to Southern France. The staff were welcoming and the hotel much better standard than expected. Great family hotel with toys for the children. Room was of a high standard, with robes and quality furnishings. Highly recommend.
Rouen was a really great city too!
A Wonderful welcome received at the hotel when we arrived with our dog - A pink lift took the car down to the garage too, very memorable! Amazing location right in the middle of Rouen - Characterful hotel with it's classic literary theme and a decent nights sleep.
It was spotless and exquisitely decorated with great attention to detail. AND the breakfast was really good and satisfying, it had everything from pastures to eggs, cheese, ham, cereal, fresh fruit, which is unusual for hotels in France!
Beautiful hotel right across the road from the train station. It was great to arrive and see it. Would take less than a minute to get to it. It's a short walk from the historic centre of Rouen. The staff were nice, friendly and helpful.
The hotel is very beautiful and has a lot of character. They take care of every details and I found it very fancy. I only spent one night there, but I would be happy to spend one week in Rouen, rest properly and use their free library.
Excellent hotel, safe secure parking and easy 5 min walk to restaurants and shops etc.
Really nice couple who own the hotel and could not have been more helpful and welcoming.
Would definitely stay again when visiting Rouen.
It was a good value -- it was very cheap compared to other hotels in the city. The rooms and facilities were also clean. Breakfast was decent and not overpriced. The private parking lot was large and easy to access.
This was the best hotel within our northern France trip. Clean and modern. Very good facilities.
Parking was a bit tight, but still was the most spacious compared to others.
The restaurant at the hotel is TOP NOTCH! The best duck confit I have had in my entire life!!! The staff was helpful and inviting. A real treat to stay here.
Good hotel. Very helpful receptionist who carried my case upstairs and recommended restaurants. Also she was helpful with parking in the hotel car park.
