We got an apartment and it was huge and clean. Living room with A/C and a big room with A/C, bathroom, hot shower, kettle, tea and water, space for luggage, big bed, nice pillows, tv. Wifi worked perfect. Our first recepcionist Mina, was a friendly man, check in was quick, room was ready at 1 pm, he gave us all the information needed as places to visit, how much was a taxi fare from different places to the Hotel. Breakfast was nice: omelet, veggies, tea, water, fruits, juice, cheese, jam and yogourt. Lady in reception was very friendly as well. Was easy communication. We like the fact we were told electricity was gone from 3 pm to 5 pm. About location, it was good for us, 10 mins to the main road close to the sea, we walked around till late, it was safe, uber was easy to use as well.
The apartment isnt in the main building, it is next door, little dark building but there was a security guy during the day and night.

Honestly, one of the best stays I've had in Alexandria. The location is spectacular with direct sea views in many rooms. The reception, house keeping, room service and restaurant staff were polite, welcoming, friendly, and accommodating
My room was upgraded prior to my arrival on very short notice upon my request. Mr. Ayman Zein from the hotel's reception/guest relations is one of the best hotel staff members I've ever dealt with. He'd follow up on a daily basis in case I needed something and would always look for feedback to improve/accommodate my stay as much as possible.
I'd definitely recommend the Sheraton to anyone looking for a wonderful private stay in Alexandria especially since the hotel is planning to open their private beach passes by June 2024.

I liked the location, it was very close to the beach (only 3 min walking). Every thing was clean and the breakfast was good. Mr. Ashraf is a helpful descent man who responds to our all requests. They allowed us to keep our luggage for hours after checkout. We felt safe and comfort. It is a highly recommended place.

Perfect location on the Mediterranean waterfront yet conveniently in the heart of the city. The friendly and helpful host family have owned the hotel for many years. and we enjoyed its historic, although fading, charms. Our little balcony overlooked the sea with grand views of the coast line.

The place is in downtown, close to the libary of Alexandia. we had a peaceful night with my partner there and being hungry in a late hour, there were many places open there to offer fast food in the street.
We checked in late but it was not a problem at the reception. Our check in was easy.

Crazy traffic and noise, dangerous to walk as a pedestrian since there are almost no traffic lights and pedestrian crossings. Uber taxis are very cheap, but most of them drive like crazy and don't have functional seatbelts at the back seats. We found the best food and view at the Greek Club, and amazing croissants at the Croissant D'Alexis! Montazah park is beautiful and offers some fantastic views away from the traffic and the noise.

Visiting town centre, with its many suks, was one of the highlights. Major sights like the Library are well known. Less so the newly renovated Greek and Roman Art Museum. Our guide didn't intend to take us there but we insisted and were very pleased that we did as it is one of the most important museums in Egypt.

It’s a great city for the soul. Once you enter the city and see the sea, you will feel so refreshing.
Everything is great there, whatever historical places or nature or atmosphere in the downtown in the night.

There is no place to take a pleasant walk in the city or spend time except the museum and library. It is a very ruined, chaotic, noisy, dirty city with terrible traffic, so walking or hanging around is not only unpleasant but also tiring. However, its library and Greco-Roman Museum are incredibly impressive. Other museums are very ordinary. Seafood dishes are very fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Therefore, I think 2 days are enough to visit this city; You can spend a lot of time in the library and the museum, take a coffee break in a cafe (the number of stylish ones is almost nonexistent), take a short city walk and see what looks like it and gain insight about the city and have a seafood dinner in the evening and continue on your way.

was a lovely hotel, staff all friendly, my only complaint is that everywhere you went you could smell cigarette smoke, people smoked in the lobby, and the corridors the rooms, even though my room was clearly labeled no smoking everything stunk of cigarette smoke including fresh bedding and towels. this for a smoker would be not noticed, but if like me and my daughters (all nonsmokers) it was enough to put a black cloud over the whole holiday .

I was pleasantly surprised by Alexandria.
I was pleasantly surprised by Alexandria. It is a big, bustling city, and parts of it are very dirty. However, there are so many interesting things to see, and it is pretty easy to get around, I used Uber. It’s a very interesting city, and I recommend giving it at least a few days.
There isn't anything to like about this hotel it was terrible experience starting from the reception when they notice I am American and the scams started going up to the out dated room ..dirty one with no hot water ..no heat ..we were forced to sleep with our clothes on and put on extra layers to avoid the colder weather. They charged me more as I payed in US Dollars and the change was in Egyptian money minus few dollars. This place need to be removed from booking.com site to keep this site for good places only ...
Clean. Great views. Close to corniche. Fantastic apartment. But be aware that you may be immersed in an Egyptian neighborhood: parts of street not paved and filled with trash, no elevator door, no electricity 7-8pm (don’t use elevator this time), walking distance to downtown but a long walk (we used Uber often to get around). Friendly people in building and neighborhood, I felt safe there. Host and his staff were helpful and easy to communicate.
My wife and I stayed in the Steigenberger Cecil Hotel in Alexandria for 2 nights during a 17-day holiday in Egypt.
The hotel is located centrally on the Corniche overlooking the sea. There are also a large number of shops and restaurants nearby. It was an ideal base for the tour we took of the city.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our room were clean and comfortable.
The breakfast buffet and dinners were both good.
Stunning views of the seaside, we had nice time sitting on the balcony and enjoying the blue waters and waves. big comfy bed, cosy sofas in the living room, spacious bathroom. there was a large table to have our food on 😍 breakfast was a nice selection of vegetables, meats, cheeses and tasty Egyptian foods 😋 there was freshly made omelette. views over the sea from the breakfast restaurant. highly recommended, excellent location
Everything was perfect. I’ve been to a lot of accommodations in Egypt and this one was the most prepared one and extremely clean, the floors were literally shining when I arrived. The kitchen is good and has everything you need. The apartment is quiet since it is a side street but next to the tram station, Khaled Ibn elWalid (big street with a lot of shops) and less than a 10min walk to the corniche. I’d 100% recommend
Friendliness of the staff specially Mirna the receptionist and Sara
Everything was clean and we found anything we may need in the room. Really good value for money, good place to stay I recommend to all friends inside or outside egypt
Thank you Mirna..for your professional handling of guest problems and their resolution
Room was very nice. The man on the reception, I think Mustafa was his name, was very welcoming and helpful. He even prepared us early breakfast when we had to catch our flight in the morning. Breakfast was very good. Comapre to other hotels in Egypt, it was not so cold during the night (we travelled in February).
The Challet is located in a large compound that needs passes to get into. This means that it is very clean, not crowded and not full of the usual pullution you might find in big cities in Egypt. There is also access to food delivered directly to your door and it is two minutes from the beach.
Cleanliness is good, check in is easy, bed is comfortable and there are plenty of comfortable places to sit. There is also a very nice sea view of Alexandria.
It is still very overpriced considering the average salary of Egyptians. The location is central and quite decent.
Honestly this was the most horrible experience I have ever had in Egypt. I was shock from the first minute I entered the place and how the staff was rude. I couldn’t cancel my entire booking and they charged me for the first night so I had to stay.
Staff on arrival (Nubian guy -Sahra and Egyptian guy) were lovely and accomodating. Location great. Room Comfortable. Can be a bit cold in winter but extra blankets in room. WiFi was virtually non existent during our stay.
Amazing hotel, best out of the 4 I stayed in in Egypt by far. Facilities, staff and room were beyond my expectations. Great food and the most amazing bathtub after a long day of touring
Of all the budget accommodations that I booked in Egypt this was by far the cleanest...very friendly staff, good wifi, comfortable room...very good value indeed!
Beautiful views of the Mediterranean, the staff were lovely and eating breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was one of the highlights of my entire time in Egypt.
