Times Square
Alive with billboards and brightly-lit screens, Times Square thrums with energy. Yellow taxis fly past and tourists pause awestruck to snap photos on their phones. The bustle of New York summed up in one crossroads, every element competes for your attention. It may be often recreated for film and TV, but nothing beats seeing this iconic location up-close.

why is this even mentioned?
why is this even mentioned? crowded, often dirty, unsurprising and very touristy. if you like neon well maybe but it’s rather gross. exciting maybe for people who’ve never traveled. if you want to be awestruck, go to the 9/11 memorial.

Superb place at any time during the day.
Superb place at any time during the day. Specially after 3:00 PM when most theaters release all the available seats at the amazing shows for that evening.
Great place to stop and have something to eat after the shows.
Amazing feeling of a city that has a hard time to sleep at night.

Not really very much to see other than buildings with lights on it was noisy messy and not actually a square. We thought it would be a bit like leister square in London but it literally was just some building s we nearly walked past it.

I love times square. Plenty to see and do. Lots of restaurants ranging from reasonable to pricy. Shop around. If you stay in times square, Central Park, Lincoln Center and Carnagie Hall are all within walking distance.

Times Square is something that has to be seen to truly appreciate. However, be prepared to be overwhelmed with the amount of people and the sensory overload! Don't pose for pictures with or even interact with the characters in costumes, unless you intend to pay them. If you want to see Times Square at the least stressful time, go at 3am. And the best food in NYC is NOT in Times Square.

Excellent location, entering from the busy Times Square street it was immediately quiet and like stepping in another world. Room was spacious and had two beds for me and my friend. Staff was welcoming. Booked it last minute after another hotel cancelled, so this hotel saved me and was actually cheaper!
Great hotel in a great location! Hotel around the corner from Grand Central Station but also a short walk from 5th Ave and Times Square. All staff are friendly and provided excellent service from the moment you stepped into the hotel. The room we stayed in was big, and we had no complaints! Also the restaurant attached to the hotel was great for food and drinks, also excellent service.
This is my second time staying at this hotel. The location is perfect for visiting many great areas, such as the Hudson River, Times Square, Madison Square/Flat Iron, Broadway, etc. I love running, and we’re only 5 km away from Central Park!
The breakfast is great, although it can be very crowded if you go after 8 am.
The room was spotless, and the comfort of the bed was incredible! We appreciated the hotel's perfect location because we could walk to many places, such as Times Square, Greenwich, Union Square, etc. I think though the breakfast offer is quite expensive, this is New York prices. You can still eat for $5 or so at Mike's, a little street place a few meters away if you want to get something substantial before hitting the city's ground.
The location is perfect for first time New Yorkers, 2 minutes away from times square and multiple different subway connections around the hotel. The staff also made my stay 100 time better
The location of the hotel is very good for those who want to be in the center of things - Times Square. It's a busy area, but very easy to get to.
The hotel is clean, the room is very cute and cozy
You can enjoy the lights of Time Square from the window
Relative to the hotels in New York, and relative to the affordable price - I think it's a good vfm
Pod Times Square is a worst ever accommodation for anyone travelling from International to stay at New York. There's alot of thing happening in that hotel, the reception is not very welcoming, very rude customer services and is very far If you have a meeting at 1st Avenue. They book in anyone in that hotel, it's really scary 😨 😳 😬 didn't sleep well for 2 nights had to give up on the extra 2 night and check out early. Had a very bad experience would not encourage anyone to stay there.
Great location, very good size room for New York and it was so clean. So close to Times Square right in the heart of New York, we walked from gran central to the hotel which took around 10 minutes which was great if you are using the subway. Very secure always staff in lobby or at the entrance. Staff are very helpful and the beds were very comfortable.
The hotel was in a perfect location for exploring New York city. It's a short walking distance to Times Square but far enough away to be away from the chaos. The room was a good size and it was very useful having a fridge. All the staff members we met were very friendly.
We felt the hotel was good value for money as we booked our room on a Black Friday deal which reduced the price.
Hotel was perfect location for tourists, right near Times Square and 2 minutes from a subway station. The staff went above and beyond (I’d had flowers delivered for my birthday and they then gave us some treats), which was so lovely! The room size was good from what I’ve heard for New York, and a lot less to pay than I’d expected too. Would go back here for sure.

What guests said about Times Square:
We began at 10 am and were back at our Times Square hotel by 4 pm
Choose a substantial section of the city, say Lower Manhattan, plot the sights you wish to see on a map so that you do not have to retrace your steps, take public transit to your starting point and begin your exploration. We started at the 9/11 Memorial and worked our way north, including City Hall, the Merchant's House, Chinatown, the Bowery, Washington Square, the White Horse Tavern, the High Line and the Garment District. Of course, there were all kinds of surprises, which added to the experience. We began at 10 am and were back at our Times Square hotel by 4 pm.

Times Square is very busy as are most of the main tourist attractions, but the hop on hop off busses are great or if you don't mind walking choose another street other than broadway and it is far easier to walk down
