Cork itself does not offer much, but can be a good starting point for the Wild Atlantic Way adventures. IF you are traveling with a car. Traveling by train & public busses does not bring you to the coast etc. The City Gaol is nice to visit, good shopping options including the English market. Skipped the Blarney Castle due to high cost. So next time probably driving with a rental car, but then a stay outside a city is also an option. Very good variety of restaurants.

Great genealogy and family history day was held at the Cork County Archives. Very friendly staff and excellent speakers. I did not know this was an annual event that they held there and I would recommend it to anyone interested in genealogy. It was well attended and I understand it will be repeated next Thursday 18th April such was the demand for seats. I hope to return to the archives for research and to attend their annual family history day.

The city was great.
The city was great. Lots of shops and places to visit nearby. There are many hills so bear in mind if your about travelling. The Old City Goal is up a huge hill so Taxi there and walk back (downhill) Taxis are cheap enough to use but some of them are cheeky with the prices. The weather was good for our stay but remember to take an umbrella as it often rains unexpectedly.

First of all the buses are shocking , waited over an hour at the airport for a bus to cork city and returning found out they only run every hour !!!
But the city is wonderful , every type of shop you would want , lovely walks along the river and the people are so friendly , will definitely be returning!!
I booked this hotel months before our cross country road trip in Ireland not knowing what to expect. I booked off the ratings and comments of others whom stayed prior. Out of the 5 hotels we stayed at this was hands down the cleanest and nicest hotel of all. The location was a solid 10 and the price was unbeatable.I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who’s traveling to Cork. I would for sure stay again if I ever get back to Ireland. Side note- I fell in ❤️with this county. Most beautiful and magical place I’ve been 😊
This Luxury Apartment is located on Ground floor

This hotel was an ABSOLUTE DUMP FILTHY DIRTY AND RUN DOWN --- Its like something from 1985
The Glossy Photos on Booking.com do not do its justice and its very misleading i wasnt expecting much from this hotel but we did pay €220 for 1 night - This hotel is a great example of RIP off Ireland - Absolute disgrace how this even passes health and safety regulations
The Gabriel House was our favorite stay during our Ireland vacation! The staff was so kind. And we were able to check in early. The room! It was spacious, elegant, modern, comfortable and clean. And all the windows with a view of the river and city! The location was great, too, free parking in their lot and then just a short walk to the city centre.
The hotel is very well-appointed and, being just outside the city centre of Cork, is less noisy while remaining easily accessible (it is about 12 minutes walk from the rail and ten minutes from the bus station). There is an attached bar/restaurant and attractive patio area. Breakfast is excellent.
Location was perfect as was the hotel. We decided not to have the breakfast as we thought it was a little pricey. But we were quite surprised to se that breakfast in the city centre was the same price or more. Next time we stay more than likely we will book breakfast aswell.
The hotel was located in a privileged area, just near the city centre. You can find the bus station and Oliver Plunkett st. just at the other side of the bridge. The staff was really nice and helpful. The room always had coffee, tea and water available to use at any time.
Room size ok. Comfortable bed.
Breakfast selection was ok. We could choose between 4 different 45 minutes visits even though the hotel was far from fully booked.
Free parking just outside.
Buses to the city centre also going outside the hotel.
Our Booking did not include breakfast. But the location of the hotel is city centre. It is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history and gorgeous decor. The staff were very friendly and accomodating.
Lovely hotel with great facilities. Food was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful kitchen garden and a short walk into the city centre. Highly recommended
The included breakfast was excellent and the hotel was right next to a bus stop that gets you to the city center. It's outside the main center of Cork so it's less crowded.
Ultra modern and very cool decor. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a great place for the train and buses and a short walk to the city centre.
