Had a "garden suite" which was a awesome experience, huge room with tatami mats and the full Japanese experience. Also a balcony, which seems rare in Japan! Great selection in the dinner buffet. Several different onsen options to try.

We went during the winter season in February and it was good weather and an enjoyable stay! We were able to see the cherry blossoms! We saw komuroyama, the volcano omuroyama, did the jogasaki trail, went to kawazu to see the cherry blossoms, the imaihama beach where I definitely recommend to take a bike to go the beach!
I also recommend taking a day-pass at Ito station where you can take as much as you want the subway. However, for the mountains you have to take the buses so use your pasmo / suica card or cash. And it is also important to have a lot of cash on you because a lot of places take only cash.

I made a round trip along Ito coast. The west side is a rural area with its natural beauty and rocky beach well preserved. Not many people and houses, which fit my preference well. The east side boasts some world class white sand beaches, gorgeous rocky cliff view and small islands.

We needed more time!
We needed more time! We loved the coastline and beautiful beaches, the hikes and attractions. You need to be careful with transportation if you don't have a car: make sure you know what buses and trains you are taking in advance. If I could do it again, I would stay longer and rent a car.

City is charming, friendly and efficient people at the restaurants and shops. Safe to walk at night, my kids enjoyed the beach, and of course Jonathon’s restaurant.
Ate lunch at fresh fish restaurant, swam in the ocean in September, and enjoyed the outdoor large spa onsen.
My recommendation is K’s Guesthouse.
Available message at the outdoor spa too!

Good atmosphere to enjoy, it was cool when I was there in September. Sea is ok and clean enough for swimming. Jogasaki Coast is very nice. Nothing here is really special compare to other but still a peaceful place for a holiday.
Beautiful retreat for one night between our busier legs of the trip. The public onsen was so nice. The room was silent with good AC and very calming. The hotel called to make a reservation at a local resturaunt a few blocks away with some of the best sashimi we’ve had on the trip. We reserved one of the private outdoor baths at night and it was magical. In the morning, they called a taxi for us free of charge back to the train station. Highly if you’re looking for a 1 night spa recovery!
Amazing sea views of the bay from room (twin with Tatami). Easy to arrive via train to Izu Kogen then <10 min taxi (1200 yen).
Onsen was amazing! 1 rooftop smaller pool + 1 bigger double pool, both in the main hotel. Then the annex building separate onsen was amazing (one open air large onsen pool with views of the bay, and 1 inside pool with sauna and various mineral baths). (free for guests and can use during the day after your checkout too)
Food was great, the girl staff who spoke English helped us on everything was super helpful with our schedules, transportations etc.
The hotel was located on the hill to some extent so we got no disturbances around. Super traditional Japanese rooms and the spacious fresh Onsen was wonderful.
There were steep stairs before we entered the hotel but the staff helped us take the suitcases to the room so that was fine.
Kameya was a charming old school seaside hotel with 4 onsens available., 1 in basement and 1 on top floor with views, male and female alternating hours and 2 private roof top spa with view over the sea. The room was spacious and the beach is across the road, Ito is great to explore and we had a number of day trips to other parts of the Izu peninsula. No bustling crowds and amazing scenery.
The onsen was beautiful ! By far my favorite private onsen experience in Japan.
My boyfriend also commented this! The onsen is so spacious, clean, and comes with an amazing view. The room was very spacious and cozy. Great with table, large TV and seating area for playing games with family or friends. I would come again.
So nice and helpful owners ! Gave us a free lift each time we needed it. Room was extremely clean, bedding perfect, private bathroom. Sea view. Fridge, microwave, kettel. Excellent wifi. This was our second stay and we highly recommand this hotel. Excellent quality / price. Very calm area .
The hotel staff are exceptionally welcoming and responsive. They offer free transport to nearby locations, which is really convenient! The facilities are well-maintained and clean. I like the hot spring very much! Thanks for making my trip to izu-peninsula unforgettable!
Extremely love apartment with everything needed for a very fair price. We felt beyond lucky to stay here in our time in Itō. The apartment is very beautiful and cozy.
