Simple accommodation located about a pub directly opposite the station. Served my needs for a couple of nights while visiting Tamworth. The wifi was fine, the shared shower was adequate, and bed was ok. The Tamworth Inn did what it was meant to do, plus there was a nice and lively bar downstairs which was enjoyable on the Friday night.

Tamworth is a small city with tens of thousands people.
Tamworth is a small city with tens of thousands people. There are almost supermarkets and shops as a large city has. The city contains all entertainment functions, a nice cinema, arts galleys, and country style of activities, including annual International Country Music Festival and horse ricing. But the living costs are lower and more green space. The train goes to Sydney and vice versa daily. A airport for public to flight nationwide.

Shopping is good, however the parking in the Main Street was terrible. Cars parked over lines taking up 2 spots, main travelling a very slow pace just is case someone might be moving out and they can get a car park, this then causes traffic jams with cars lined up for 2 blocks, And being caught over intersections when lights change.
Sport complex (hockey fields) amazing, was a great place to see, such a pity other towns don’t have similar complexes.

Just passed through and stayed overnight would have liked to stay longer to view more of the area.
When on the lookout excellent view with a lovely sunny day and blue sky and, a nice cool breeze, this lookout had some picnic tables available with walking trails maybe next time.
Enjoyed the Saturday markets while we were there, interesting from locally made products to homemade cakes etc.
Don't forget to drop into the Big Golden Guitar information centre the staff were friendly and helpful we also picked up a board game of Tamworth Monopoly, which you can only get here, why not we don't have this exclusive limited edition $30.00 bargain.

As we visit Tamworth annually to play darts, we mostly see the inside of the club where the tournament is held. The town is very quaint and it's a really country and western town. Tamworth has some nice parks and walking tracks which are great.
Nice restaurants are situated in the town and its great to be able to sit a look at the people passing by

The only good thing to come out of Tamworth is any road leading away! The one good thing is the Dragon Palace restaurant. It's very good that's why it's busy. What has happened to the motels? We were booked at
Tamworth Lodge Motel which we couldn't stay at, it's filthy! Then we went to the Town and Country Motor Inn and the pillows smelled of sweat. Hungry Jacks gets a serve for failing to do there job too.
The shower pressure was outta this world ! After a big day at the motorsport park the shower was to die for in room 48 ! Certianly not some little misty water like most motels the staff was awesome with our late checking in place was quite as for that good night's sleep rooms where tidy an very clean and they didn't stink either . The family room is very roomy with plenty room to host kids . Definitely booking back in next year there when our car events are on ! 5 stars from our family
In 50+ years of staying in Hotels & Motels in Australia and around the World I can’t think of any place better than this to stay. From reception to check out, outstanding. Genuinely a great place to stay & would do so again if in Tamworth. Even one of my Motel bugbears (lighting) was superb…..great to be able to read in comfort. Excellent value for money.
I like the convenience of parking. They have comfortable bed, and the pillows aren’t as sky high as other hotels which is good. Good cooling aircond. Also, we’re provided with full set of cutleries and microwave. Something really useful when travelling and handy when ordering food online and trying to eat it.
Easy access from highway, fuel available over the road and take away across the road. A good sized room with a couch and table. Refrigerator had soft drinks at a very good price even though we did not utilize them.
Motel units were on a side street and off the highway so noise was limited.
Don't hesitate to stay here if visiting Tamworth. Our fourth visit and it never disappoints. Stylish accommodation on an authentic working property. The restaurant deserves a hat - sensational. And the bed ...... like sleeping on a cloud!
Nice cozy little stay. Affordable and on a lovely block of land, feels a little more country than main street motels.
Little out of town but still only less than a ten minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Tamworth.
Good location near the centre. Unit was quiet considering the motel is on a main road. We had difficulty getting the heating to work but staff were prompt to help us out. The room was adequate for an overnight stay.
Very comfortable accommodation in a good location with an easy driving distance to Tamworth CBD. The house was spacious, well equipped and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Off street parking was available.
South Tamworth Motor Inn was absolutely fantastic! Very clean, comfortable and central to everything. Stuart at the front desk was so lovely and helpful he gave us advice of where to eat and it certainly paid off!
Everything about the Mercure Tamworth was what we were after. The location was right next to where we were attending a show. The room was clean, the bed was so comfortable, and the staff were very helpful.
It was very clean and tidy and the staff professional and friendly. The beer garden was lovely and the meals very good value. The hotel in itself had an old world charm which was quite inviting.
The availability with check in along with the convince of their 24hr operational service and the location being in central of the township Tamworth, NSW.
A good location close to central Tamworth, and at a good price. Staff in particular were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would gladly stay here again.
