Leptokaria was a lovely town close to Mt.Olympus and within walking distance to beach shopping strip. We hired a car a drove to Mt.Olympus and would recommend visiting Mt.Olympus early in morning to avoid the crowds.

Excellent place for sea and mountain experience. Olympus is so close and you must go for it! Very good prices and friendly people. A lot of choices for families and for couples. You can reach by car, by bus or by train! There are a lot of beaches for any taste (rock or sand),having facilities like showers, sun beds etc

It's a nice seaside town.
It's a nice seaside town. When I visited off-season many places were closed, but I found a nice sea-view taverna. Seems like a nice place to visit in the summer. Very close to the main road too, so handy for a short stop on the way south.

It is located in the center of Leptokarya at the beginning of the walking street. The shower had a missing door and nobody works at the front desk. It's almost like it's not a hotel, because you need to contact them when you check in. Little weird. All in all in my opinion the price that we paid for 3 nights, 4 days (186e) is not worth it. The only problem is the noise once in a while - from some installation in the hotel and from a train. There is a unique magnetic anomaly spot nearby on the way from Leptocaria to Karya - Livethra "Magnetic Field". A car, put in neutral, gains speed uphill on its own.
